WHAT IS HESED? 

 
Hesed is an exciting, Christian adult-volunteer program to Israel, hosted by The Friends of Israel. Participants will work alongside Israelis doing manual labor and giving of their time, effort, and resources to help us serve the people of Israel practically.

How does a Hesed worker serve? 

Primarily you will be assigned tasks that require working with your hands. They might involve cleaning equipment, organizing storage areas, cleaning air conditioning, as well as site maintenance, food, landscaping and gardening, laundry service – or a host of other tasks. Participants will work with, and at the direction of, Israelis – doing whatever they may assign.

March 12 – 30, 2025

COST: $5299 USD

• Includes roundtrip airfare to and from Israel from Newark, NJ; hotel (double occupancy room); transportation; breakfast and dinner buffets; entrance fees to sites and activities.

• Does not include domestic airfare to and from Newark, NJ; single occupancy hotel room (supplemental charge); travel insurance; personal health insurance; extra drinks that are not provided at meal time; souvenirs.

• Does not include airfare to and from Israel, plus everything else that is not included above. 

• You are welcome to purchase your own flights to and from Israel, but you must tell us if you plan to do so.
