Israeli Elections Not Over

In News Surrounding Israel by Chris Katulka

One of Israel’s powerful politicians Avigdor Lieberman, is rumored to have recommended Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz be given the first opportunity of forming a government. This comes after Gantz lost the elections to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this month.

Prime Minister Netanyahu won the election, but there is another step in the Israeli process, they must form a majority government. Avigdor Lieberman remains the kingmaker and the thorn in Netanyahu’s side. Lieberman has the power to install the next Prime Minister of Israel. So what does all this mean? You guessed it, there is a chance we may see Israel go to their 4th election. We’ll have to wait and see.
