With lots happening in Israel as usual, here are three significant and intriguing stories:

1,000 YEAR OLD SEED SUCCESSFULLY PLANTED

In 2010 in the Arava, a greenhouse planted and meticulously cared for the seed that is growing into the tree that produced the famous Balm of Gilead.

Discovered in 1986, the single Commiphora seed was discovered at the Wadi El-Malik. Radiocarbon dating puts the age of the seed at 993AD and 1202AD. The seed has “produced a tsori (balm) tree, from which the resin made the Balm of Gilead.” The tree sprouting from the discovered seed “has been given the name of ‘Sheba’ after the valuable spices brought by the Queen of Sheba to Solomon. The Balm of Gilead was a precious commodity in ancient times, along with frankincense and myrrh.”

NETANYAHU MEETS PRESIDENT TRUMP

Prime Minister Netanyahu has a meeting with President Trump scheduled for Monday. According to Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter “the topics to be discussed will be the return of our hostages, the tariffs imposed on Israel, the instability in Syria and of the region due to Iranian proxies.” Prime Minister Netanyahu was the first leader to visit President Trump in his second term, he is also the first leader to visit Trump since implementing the global tariffs.

IN 2021 HAMAS LEADERS REQUESTED $500 Million TO DESTROY ISRAEL IN TWO YEARS

Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif requested from the IRGC commander Esmail Qaani in June 2021 financial support for Hamas’s plans to invade Israel, which ultimately occurred October 7,2023.
