Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic Tweets

In News Surrounding Israel by Chris Katulka

Freshman Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Democrat from Minnesota’s Fifth District, has posted a series of anti-Semitic tweets accusing Israel supporters in Congress of being financially beholden to AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

Well, here’s my take. Representative Omar is saying the Jewish people control the government. Her words are really the most basic form of modern anti-Semitism, the hatred of Jewish people. What Representative Omar said about the Jewish people through social media is reprehensible, and yet her only punishment was a bunch of newspaper editorials written about her. The hatred of the Jewish people should not be the future of America. For Minnesota’s Fifth District, is this really who you want representing you?
