Following an extremely close Israeli election in September, President Reuven Rivlin invited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to try to build a majority government. Rivlin has the difficult task of breaking the deadlock in Israeli politics, there seems to be little confidence Netanyahu can accomplish the task set before him.
Netanyahu has a unique chance to remain Prime Minister despite losing the election. The Arab parties that boosted Netanyahu’s opposition, Benny Gantz of the Blue and White Party, refused to back any potential prime minister, giving Netanyahu the upper hand. Netanyahu has an extremely difficult task ahead of him. But friends, let’s not fret about politics, we believe in a sovereign God whose in control of all things!
