Yossi Cohen has directed the Mossad for three and a half years. He has “transformed the organization into a risk taking, history-altering machine.” His boldest move in 2017 led to Mike Pompeo telling him “you have redefined courage and boldness.” Yossi directed operatives went into Tehran and stole Iran’s secret nuclear documents. In fact, the documentation from that raid and securing its contents quite likely led to President Trump backing out of the Iran Deal “and launching “his maximum-pressure campaign on the Islamic Republic.”
Numerous Mossad operatives went into Tehran, and under the cover of night, went to the location of thirty-two specific safes which housed the secret information. After neutralizing electronic surveillance, they used torches that reached 3,600 degrees, opened the safes, removed the contents, loaded them on trucks and safely got them out of the country back to Israel. The whole operation took a mere six and a half hours. Using Iranian smugglers who had no idea what they were taking, took the trucks across the border. From there they went by undisclosed means to Israel. The contents are still being examined, and they provide a nuclear map for the Mossad. One result of the Mossad operation is that Israel now has a far deeper understanding of how Iran’s nuclear program works, “down to the smallest details.”
In Daniel 11:32, Daniel foretells of the rise of Antiochus Epiphanes. In his time God will raise up those who will resist and defeat him, “but the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” The Maccabees in Antiochus’s day, under Judah “the Hammer” Maccabee, defeated him and rededicated the temple leading to the festival of Hanukkah. Yossi Cohen has that same spirit of derring-do, courage and boldness to confront Israel’s greatest threat, Iran, and snatch the vital information to help Israel and the world. World altering, history making actions, indeed, by the current Mossad director.
