July/August 2010
The late American revivalist Vance
Havner had the gift of foresight when
he warned us 25 years ago about the course
of the church in America. “We are living,”
Havner said, “in the worst period of deception
in history.” He feared false teaching
would fool many, including church leaders
who would endorse a false gospel. Other
good people, he said, unable to discern
what is happening, will be afraid to oppose
the teaching. This issue of Israel My Glory
outlines the dimensions of some of the
changes occurring in today’s church and
reveals the great need for discernment
among God’s people. There is, of course,
much more also, including valuable
insights into how these changes affect our
relationship with Israel. It’s a timely issue
you’ll want to share with others. Our cover
is an aerial view of Kibbutz Ein Dor, established
in 1948 (Duby Tal/Albatross/Israel Images).
